Making plans for New Years while trying to recover some from Christmas. It's nice to have family to do things with for New Years. It's nice to be together and celebrate, even reflect. It's also a time be thankful and consider what the New Year will bring. I feel as if I am always evaluating and retooling and rethinking my approach, not just in crux of the yearly crossover. What are you thinking about for New Years?

Christmas is just days away and that anticipation is in the air. That old song “Pretty Paper” written by Willie Nelson and first made popular by Roy Orbison, still rings true. Yes the streets are crowded, the feet are busy, well where I live the car tires are busy. Even with all the online sales cars clog up the streets getting to the strip malls. I remember when strip malls where not the thing and indoor malls were all the rage. Next thing you know indoor malls are on their way out. Still no matter how things change there still is some of that excitement in the air. We got some snow here in Virginia that we don't usually get, making it feel a little bit more like the holiday season. The weather is cool not too cold. It's shaping up to be a nice time of year to be at home with the family. No matter how you celebrate I wish you a very merry! Talk soon,

Christmas has always snuck up on me and it's don it again. It seems like each December as I get ready to take a breath and focus more on Christmas, presents and the whole big thing, it's already upon me. I thought I had at least another two weeks but no! I have less than a week. After just coming off a gig and preparing to set gigs for the new year what is a musician to do?? I guess I invite you all to take a collective breath with me and say Merry Christmas or Hannukah or Kwanza or whichever holiday you celebrate and just enjoy. At some point we all have to take responsibility for our own holidays and decide to enjoy ourselves. I know, easier said then done. I tell you I am gonna decide to enjoy, no matter how hard I might fight it. Merry Holidays! Talk soon!
